Account access (B2B)

The Remote Service role is required for third-party API access. If external API calls are missing the Remote Service role on the service account, the API calls will fail until it is added. The Remote Service role is not required for client-side iParts, only for B2B (an application requiring its own username and password) access.

Adding the role

To add the role from the Staff site, go to Community > Security > Users. Search for the service account and open the account for edit. From the User information area, do one of the following:

  • iMIS Professional: Enable the Remote Service Access checkbox, then click Save.
  • iMIS Enterprise: Click Add role. Select the RemoteService role, click OK, then click Save.
